Parish Church of the Assumption

The church, dedicated to the Virgin, is one of the most beautiful existing works of Piedmontese Baroque art in the area.
The work was completed around the year 1768 as part of a project carried out by Carlo Francesco Rangone, native born architect of Montelupo Albese.
The Church of Saints Cosmas and Damian in Via Maestra and part of the monumental Saint Lazzaro Hospital Lazarus are two other contemporary examples of Rangone’s work. The completely renovated interior, in the shape of a Latin cross, offers to both the faithful and visitors fine frescoes and decorations of rare beauty.
